The Whirlwind

The whirlwind is the daily task and responsibilities at work that are necessary for the everyday function of the organization, but that take you away from your commitments. Sometimes these are genuine responsibilities at work, but they cause you to lose focus or can become an excuse for not completing a task. The duties of the whirlwind must be completed; however, you must keep the objective at the center of your focus.

4DX recommends compensating for the whirlwind by dividing your goals into more minor actions to meet your bigger goal. It also recommends committing to your team and holding each other accountable in weekly meetings.
