E-Portfolios In Entrepreneurship

In embarking on my action research project centered around the utilization of e-portfolios, I initially contemplated the approach to data collection and analysis. While the prospect of employing a mixed-methods approach intrigued me due to its potential for a comprehensive understanding of the subject, I ultimately decided to focus solely on quantitative data. The clarity and precision of quantitative data drove this choice in assessing the effectiveness of e-portfolios in achieving specific learning objectives and outcomes. To guide my research, I crafted a structured outline comprising distinct phases, including defining research questions, selecting appropriate measurement tools, gathering data from diverse sources, and employing statistical techniques to analyze the quantitative data. This systematic approach will enable me to obtain valuable insights into the impact of e-portfolios clearly and objectively, facilitating a more focused and data-driven exploration of this educational technology.

The literature review phase of my research journey presented a valuable learning experience and a significant challenge. Initially, I began with sources that aligned with my preconceived notions about e-portfolios. However, as I delved deeper into the topic, my coursework gave me fresh perspectives and insights that prompted the need for revisions. My professor's feedback, which urged me to incorporate more sources, was valid. However, the real challenge lay in crafting a literature review that was not merely a compilation of information but a reflection of my evolving knowledge and understanding of the subject. It was crucial to balance adding relevant sources and ensuring that each addition genuinely contributed to refining my research focus. Ultimately, in light of my evolving insights, this revision process allowed me to create a literature review that accurately represented my current knowledge and set the foundation for a more insightful and meaningful research endeavor.

Developing the action research plan was a critical juncture in my project, forcing me to delve deeper into the research methodology and how I intended to communicate my findings to my peers. Crafting this plan necessitated thoroughly considering the dissemination process, challenging me to envision effectively sharing the information gleaned from the study and engaging my peers in a meaningful dialogue. Additionally, it compelled me to critically examine the questions in the survey instrument, aiming to design inquiries that would genuinely measure the impact of e-portfolios as the catalyst for any observed changes. This process underscored the importance of precision and clarity in research design and the significance of aligning data collection methods with the specific research goals. In essence, the action research plan became the blueprint for my investigation and the means through which I would facilitate a more informed and constructive discourse among my peers on the role of e-portfolios in educational settings.
