Synthesis Digital Learning
I have realized the importance of having a creative space to build and develop ideas through this program. Although it has been daunting for me, as I usually rely on rubrics for specific guidelines to achieve success, following the COVA model has allowed me to create meaningful projects. I intend to use my knowledge to help students develop an e-portfolio that documents their learning. As I make videos and websites for my assignments, I constantly think of ways to integrate my newfound knowledge into my classroom. Creating my works has also allowed me to use my existing learning community and the skills of friends and family members to expand my learning.
The pandemic has brought about significant educational changes over the past few years. Parents, teachers, and school districts had to quickly adapt to the sudden need to integrate technology into the classroom. Through my experiences in the school, I realized the potential of technology to engage students and create authentic learning experiences. This led me to starting my studies in the ADL program at Lamar University.
As part of the program, I developed an innovation proposal to introduce changes on campus. I incorporated e-portfolios into a 12th-grade entrepreneurship course, allowing students to document and showcase their learning.

Throughout this course, I had the opportunity to delve into my personal beliefs and perspectives on education and reflect on how my past experiences have influenced my approach as an educator. These experiences have also significantly influenced my decision to enroll in the ADL program. I was also introduced to the Growth Mindset concept and the transformative power of the word "Yet."

Applying Educational Technology Portfolio
5303
During this course, I gained a deeper understanding of the importance of having a voice and making choices, which was initially a challenging concept for me to grasp. However, through the demanding process of creating my e-portfolio, I produced a final work product that I am genuinely proud of.
Leading Organizational Change

Throughout this course, I gained a deeper understanding of the significance of identifying my "why" and its crucial role in effective leadership. One resource I found particularly valuable was the book 4DX on execution, which provided helpful insights for implementing my innovation proposal. Thanks to this course, I improved my planning and successfully executed my proposal.
Disruptive Innovation in Technology

During this course, I laid the foundation for my program by creating an innovation proposal and conducting extensive research on e-portfolios. Additionally, I produced a call-to-action video to generate excitement among stakeholders for the implementation of my proposal.

Creating Significant Learning Environments

Throughout this course, I gained a deeper understanding of how to shift the focus of learning from teacher-centered to student-centered, thanks to the concepts introduced by Brown and Thomas. As I developed my learning philosophy, I reflected on my memorable learning experiences as a young student and connected them to my current interests. This helped me create the UDM template, where I had to carefully consider the skills my students would acquire by the end of the course and design appropriate outcomes, assessments, and activities accordingly.

Assess Digital Learning Instruction

I revised my literature review for the second time, and it was easier this time around. I made changes to find more literature on K-12 education and also shifted my focus to business courses. I also developed a plan on how I would collect and assess the data from the results of my innovation proposal. I enjoyed learning about action research. However, after revisiting my literature review for the second time, I also reflected on what was missing from the literature and how my innovation proposal and data could add to the literature that was currently available.

My colleagues and I collaborated on a course where we co-authored a publication on the effective use of e-portfolios in the classroom. Our greatest challenge was overcoming the belief that we needed something valuable to contribute. We also created a podcast with the publication to encourage others to read and engage with our work. This course gave me practical skills I intend to implement in my classroom.

In this course, I designed an e-learning platform consisting of multiple modules to facilitate the user's learning experience. As part of the course requirement, I created a usability survey asking for user experience feedback. The survey questions made me contemplate the course's functionality from the student's perspective. This experience gave me valuable feedback that helped me improve the course.
