Influence

The six sources of influence to help me implement my innovation proposal on campus. I plan to initially focus on the influencing model's social aspect and focus on "harness peer pressure and finding strength in numbers." Focusing on the social piece can primarily be done by working with the administration team and the department chairs for each department. However, seeking the support of people whose opinions matter will also have to be addressed in implementing my proposal. The more challenging influencing strategies will focus on structural motivation and structural ability. Structural motivation will be more straightforward in implementing rewards in jean days or other incentives; however, the accountability piece would be more challenging as I view it now. For example, I would want most teachers to implement the proposal without being called out for lack of compliance. I am trying to figure out what accountability may look like for this initiative. My vision of holding someone accountable would be more in the form of a workout partner versus a non-compliance conversation.
